Es enorme la cantidad de cosas que se pueden crear con un simple hilo, desde una trenza para hacer una pulsera única, hasta un tapiz, una alfombra, un cinturón, un colgante, una colcha….bueno que me acelero….
Y el placer que se siente al tocar, manipular, y dar forma a una cosa tan simple con un hilo. ¿Y con las telas?
Cuando las conoces, descubres otro mundo. A partir de entonces es imposible entrar en una tienda de ropa o telas y no ir tocando todo para notar su textura, disfrutar con los colores, imaginar las combinaciones, las posibilidades infinitas de hacer algo tuyo.
Hoy, mirando y recordando material antiguo de la historia de Beitu, han aparecido fotografías de las Fiestas de la Artesanía que organizamos desde el 2000 hasta el 2010. Y la que más éxito tuvo fué la segunda dedicada al textil.
La exposición de tapiz y patchwork, unida a la que montaron las mujeres de Beire con todos sus trabajos con el hilo, las telas y la aguja fué de lo mejor que he visto aquí en Beire.
La mayoría, trabajos hechos por mujeres, aunque había una colcha hecha por un chico que era estupenda. Así que ya sabéis, si estáis interesados en conocer y aprender alguna técnica textil, aquí nos tienes, en Beitu. Estaremos encantados de enseñar y contagiaros este vicio, porque es un vicio, de verdad.
