Con la fecha del 21 de junio, oficialmente comienzo de verano, hemos empezado a recoger los primeros tomates.
Es un placer, unido a todo lo que nos recuerda al calor, las comidas con amigos, fiestas, celebraciones, campamentos de verano… Y las comidas frías, ensaladas, gazpachos, pintxos….
Todo esto supone la aparición de estos tomates tan ricos. No es por nada pero los tomates de la huerta de Beitu tienen un sabor especial, nada ácido, jugosos…. Qué será ¿la tierra o el cariño que les ponemos?
Y cuando tengamos demasiados empezaremos a preparar la rica salsa de tomate que guardamos para el invierno, que acompañará a albóndigas, pescado, huevos fritos, salsas y sopas.
